Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Canadian Hindus for Outreach, Relations and Dialogue (CHORD) website, including member and organization registration, event RSVPs, and any communications you receive from us. By using this website or submitting a registration through it, you agree to these Terms.
1. About CHORD
CHORD is a national, non-profit platform that brings together Canadians inspired by Hindu values and Dharma to strengthen community outreach, foster relationships, and promote dialogue across communities, faiths, businesses, academia, government, and youth. This website is provided to support that mission, including organization and member registration and event coordination.
2. Member & Organization Registration
Registration on this website is free of charge and does not require creating a login account. When you submit a member or organization registration, you agree that:
- The information you provide (name, contact details, organization affiliation, and related details) is accurate and up to date.
- Member registrations require a valid organization code, and submissions are reviewed before approval; CHORD may accept, decline, or request corrections to any registration at its discretion.
- You are responsible for notifying us of any changes to your contact information.
- Registration does not create any membership fee, financial obligation, or contractual right to attend any specific event.
3. Event RSVPs & Communications
Approved members may be invited to RSVP for CHORD events through this website. By submitting an RSVP, you agree that:
- RSVP access is limited to approved members and is verified against the contact details on file.
- Submitting an RSVP indicates your intent to attend but does not guarantee entry, seating, or availability, which may be subject to venue capacity or event-specific limits.
- Event details, schedules, and venues may change, and CHORD will make reasonable efforts to notify registered attendees of such changes.
4. SMS & Email Communications
If you opt in to receive SMS or email communications from CHORD, those communications are governed by our SMS Communications Consent & Opt-In page and our Privacy Policy. You may unsubscribe from either channel at any time using the instructions provided in those messages.
5. Acceptable Use
When using this website, you agree not to:
- Provide false, misleading, or fraudulent information in any registration or RSVP.
- Register on behalf of another person or organization without their knowledge and consent.
- Attempt to disrupt, interfere with, or gain unauthorized access to the website or its underlying systems.
- Use the website or any information obtained through it for unlawful, harassing, or commercial solicitation purposes unrelated to CHORD's mission.
6. Intellectual Property

You may view and share this content for personal, non-commercial purposes, but may not reproduce, modify, or distribute it for commercial use without prior written permission from CHORD.
7. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability
This website and its content are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. CHORD makes reasonable efforts to keep information accurate and the website available, but does not guarantee uninterrupted access or that all content is free of errors.
- CHORD is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this website, event registration, or attendance at CHORD events.
- CHORD is not responsible for delays, cancellations, or changes to events caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
8. Changes to These Terms
